More Spring Break Stuff

Wednesday, my friend Aimee and her boys came down from Kansas City to vist us for a couple of days. We always have so much fun with them. Aimee and I met about 11 years ago when we worked together at Koch Industries with some really great people in the Recruiting department. We made some really great memories during our time at Koch. We worked some long hours, but we always managed to have a good time. Everything from throwing Skittles over the top of the cubes and hitting the other recruiters on the head while phone screening? The crazy contract recruiters that they managed to find?!! Going to Tanner's after work and sneaking the shot glasses out in our purses? Deciding where to go for lunch every day was an adventure we looked forward to? Driving Thru at Arby's just to pay them for the food that we would drive off without. An occasional trip to the Mall and back in an hour (plus a few). And on the side, our brilliant idea of starting up a scrap booking store (before there were even scrap booking stores - we really lost out on that million +). Funny that neither of us scrapbook now that we have kids. I am blessed to have Aimee as friend. She is an amazing person!! She has been so helpful during difficult times and given great advice and encouragement to me. Back in the day when we worked together, neither of us had kids. We were friends then but motherhood and life events have brought our friendship to a different level!! My entire family adores their entire family including (the late Brandy, the dog, Peanut, Max, Ruby and Rocky, who we haven't had the opportunity to meet). Her two boys and my two boys are not far apart in age which makes for some fun times!!!

While they were here, we were able to rock out to Guitar Hero, play some serious LEGO Star Wars, some Webkinz, the Wii, Blockus, tour the Sedgwick County Zoo with the new Penguin exhibit, see a Komodo Dragon (breathe fire, ha!), play in the sand, jump on the trampoline, feed the neighbors dogs a few foam rockets, eat pizza, tour Valley Center on our way the the skating rink, and rollerskate. We had a great time! Kam got sick while they were here which put a damper on things a bit. Poor little guy seems to get sick about every 4-6 weeks with sore throat and fever. So, we had to throw a trip to the doctor in there for a strep test.

I have lots of pics. I will probably have to spread them out over several posts. Maybe even a little video clip too.

Thanks guys for the visit! We can't wait to come see you all next!
